Dominant groups
In 2021, there were 366 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Pittwater Ward, compared with 9,321 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Pittwater Ward in 2021, compared to Northern Beaches Council area, shows that 1.6% used public transport, while 39.2% used a private vehicle, compared with 3.4% and 35.1% respectively in Northern Beaches Council area.
The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of Pittwater Ward and Northern Beaches Council area were:
