Dominant groups
Analysis of the weekly housing rental payments of households in Ripponlea compared to St Kilda Road shows that there was a smaller proportion of households paying high rental payments ($450 per week or more), and a larger proportion of households with low rental payments (less than $250 per week).
Overall, 35.4% of households were paying high rental payments, and 8.4% were paying low payments, compared with 47.5% and 3.9% respectively in St Kilda Road.
The major differences between the housing rental payments of Ripponlea and St Kilda Road were:
