Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in City of Port Phillip in 2016 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (9,389 people or 16.3%)
- Health Care and Social Assistance (5,923 people or 10.3%)
- Education and Training (4,889 people or 8.5%)
In combination, these three industries employed 20,201 people in total or 35.0% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Middle Park - Albert Park employed 18.7% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 10.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.1% in Education and Training.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of City of Port Phillip and Middle Park - Albert Park were:
