Analysis of the share of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population attending educational institutions in the City of Ryde in 2021 compared to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in Ku-ring-gai Council area shows that there was a higher proportion attending primary school, a lower proportion attending secondary school, and a higher proportion engaged in tertiary level education.
Overall, 10.2% of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander population were attending primary school, 9.1% of the population were attending secondary institutions, and 18.7% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 6.8%, 14.0% and 15.6% respectively for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in Ku-ring-gai Council area.
