The size of the City of Ryde's labour force born in China in 2021 was 9,295 people, of which 2,297 were employed part-time and 5,324 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status of the population born in China (as a percentage of the labour force) in the City of Ryde in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a higher proportion in employment, and a similar proportion unemployed. Overall, 93.8% of the labour force born in China was employed and 3.8% unemployed, compared with 92.8% and 4.1% respectively for Greater Sydney.
