Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the population born in India in City of Ryde in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (1,778 people or 49.0%)
- Managers (596 people or 16.4%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (412 people or 11.4%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,786 people in total or 76.8% of the employed population born in India.
In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 40.3% in Professionals; 14.1% in Managers; and 12.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population born in India in the City of Ryde and Greater Sydney were:
- A larger percentage of people employed as Professionals (49.0% compared to 40.3%)
- A smaller percentage of people employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (3.1% compared to 8.6%)
