Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Rural South West and KNP in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Accommodation and Food Services (92 females or 32.3%)
  • Arts and Recreation Services (29 females or 10.2%)
  • Education and Training (20 females or 7.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 141 females in total or 49.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Snowy Monaro Regional Council area employed 14.8% in Accommodation and Food Services; 5.0% in Arts and Recreation Services; and 12.9% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Rural South West and KNP and Snowy Monaro Regional Council area were:
