Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Jindabyne in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Community and Personal Service Workers (311 females or 21.4%)
  • Professionals (289 females or 19.9%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (227 females or 15.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 827 females in total or 56.8% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Rural East employed 12.9% in Community and Personal Service Workers; 19.3% in Professionals; and 15.5% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Jindabyne and Rural East were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (21.4% compared to 12.9%)
