Dominant groups
In 2021, there were 18 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Cooma Urban Area, compared with 2,005 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).
Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Cooma Urban Area in 2021, compared to Rural South West and KNP, shows that 0.6% used public transport, while 69.4% used a private vehicle, compared with 0.0% and 31.6% respectively in Rural South West and KNP.
The major differences in persons between the method of travel to work of Cooma Urban Area and Rural South West and KNP were:
- A larger percentage of persons who travelled by car (as driver) (63.1% compared to 30.3%)
- A larger percentage of persons who travelled by car (as a passenger) (6.3% compared to 1.3%)
