Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Federation Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (514 males or 18.1%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (489 males or 17.2%)
  • Construction (431 males or 15.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,434 males in total or 50.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Regional NSW employed 8.2% in Manufacturing; 7.1% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 16.1% in Construction.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Federation Council area and Regional NSW were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in agriculture, forestry and fishing (17.2% compared to 7.1%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed in manufacturing (18.1% compared to 8.2%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (2.8% compared to 6.7%)
