Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Wallan in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,060 people or 14.5%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (894 people or 12.2%)
  • Manufacturing (679 people or 9.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,633 people in total or 36.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Mitchell Shire employed 14.6% in Construction; 11.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 8.6% in Manufacturing.
