Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Rural North East in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Managers (175 people or 19.1%)
  • Professionals (152 people or 16.6%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (137 people or 15.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 464 people in total or 50.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Mitchell Shire employed 11.8% in Managers; 13.8% in Professionals; and 17.7% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Rural North East and Mitchell Shire were:
