Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Eastwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (854 people or 13.5%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (767 people or 12.2%)
  • Retail Trade (555 people or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,176 people in total or 34.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Ryde employed 13.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 8.5% in Retail Trade.
