Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in The Ponds in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (985 people or 12.6%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (964 people or 12.3%)
  • Financial and Insurance Services (898 people or 11.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,847 people in total or 36.4% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Blacktown City employed 7.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 14.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 6.4% in Financial and Insurance Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of The Ponds and Blacktown City were:
