Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Summer Hill in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (668 people or 15.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (571 people or 13.2%)
  • Education and Training (524 people or 12.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,763 people in total or 40.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Inner West Council area employed 15.8% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; 12.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.6% in Education and Training.
