Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Brookvale in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Health Care and Social Assistance (258 people or 12.4%)
- Retail Trade (221 people or 10.6%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (211 people or 10.1%)
In combination, these three industries employed 690 people in total or 33.1% of the total employed resident population.
In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 11.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 8.5% in Retail Trade; and 14.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Brookvale and Northern Beaches Council area were:
- A larger percentage of persons employed in retail trade (10.6% compared to 8.5%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in other services (5.3% compared to 3.4%)
- A larger percentage of persons employed in transport, postal and warehousing (4.1% compared to 2.7%)
