Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Warriewood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (533 people or 12.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (451 people or 10.9%)
  • Education and Training (422 people or 10.2%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,406 people in total or 33.9% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Northern Beaches Council area employed 11.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.3% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 8.7% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Warriewood and Northern Beaches Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in retail trade (10.1% compared to 8.5%)
  • A larger percentage of persons employed in education and training (10.2% compared to 8.7%)
